"Feelings are what link people together because the word love has the same meaning for everybody"
| I am a fourth year student at the University of Rhode Island, majoring in Communications and Film&Media. Growing up I always enjoyed performing by singing in my schools Chorale and acting in the spring musicals. My favorite part of the day however, was anchoring the morning news. I loved the rush of being on live television. I also liked reporting news to my fellow classmates. When deciding on a major I knew right away it would be Communications and Film&Media.I chose the University of Rhode Island because it was a big school and it was near the ocean. It had Greek Life and worked with many programs on studying abroad. I joined Alpha Delta Pi my freshman year and was very involved with our philanthropy The Ronald McDonald house. I ran an Alex&Ani fundraising event and raised money right around the holidays to donate to this cause. I was Greek Week chair my Sophomore year and was in charge of the Greek Week dance and sing. I served on the executive board with the position of Recruitment Vice President, voting on chapter decisions, planning recruitment events, and adhering to the instructions of my district leaders .In the spring of 2012 I took the opportunity of the study abroad program and lived in Florence, Italy for a semester. I traveled to over 7 countries in Europe and well over 20 cities. My ultimate dream job would to host my own travel show on the travel channel sharing places to eat, shop, have fun, and to learn something new and exciting about that culture. I get bored extremely easily, so a career that can keep me excited and engaged is a must. |
